Bhavya Foundation Supports 250 Students with Raincoats, Umbrellas & Stationery in Ambegaon, Pune
In many rural parts of Pune district, children face challenges that go far beyond the classroom. Families in Adivasi and underprivileged communities often struggle to afford even the most basic school essentials such as notebooks, pencils, and erasers. With the arrival of the monsoon, the lack of rain protection further adds to their hardships, forcing children to either miss school or study in discomfort.
To address this, Bhavya Foundation, in collaboration with Sat-Karam Foundation, launched a special initiative to support 250 students across four primary schools in Taluka Ambegaon, District Pune. The distribution included raincoats, umbrellas, notebooks, and complete stationery kits, ensuring that children are protected during rains and equipped for their education.
The Schools Covered
This initiative reached out to children studying in the following schools:
--Shri Pandharinath Vidhyalay & Jr. College, Pokhari
--Z.P. Primary School, Pokhari
--Z.P. Primary School, Bhagitwadi
--Z.P. Primary School, Bhendharwadi
Across these institutions, 250 students were provided with the essentials that their families often cannot afford.
Empowering Education Through Basic Essentials
For many of these children, receiving a new notebook or a box of pencils is a rare and special moment. Their families, struggling to make ends meet, often cannot purchase such items. This initiative ensures that no child is deprived of the simple tools needed for learning.
Each child received:
--Notebooks
--Pencils & Erasers
--Sharpeners & other stationery
--Raincoats & Umbrellas for monsoon protection
These items not only support education but also inspire children to attend school regularly, protected from the rains and confident in their ability to learn.
